The position calls for a design-orientated all-rounder with experience in the corporate / workplace sector.In this exciting position, you will be based at our office in Buitengracht Street, Gardens, Cape Town, and be involved in the interior design and technical aspects of projects.
Throughout this process, you will have a chance to hone your project management and communication skills. You will present internally and externally with clarity and a sound understanding of technical and commercial feasibility.
Responsibilities
Involved in Project Work Stages 02, through to Work Stage 6
Liaise with suppliers, and site / project managers
Staying up to date with current trends
Facilitate council submissions, approvals & compliance certificates, and project handover
Requirements
Tertiary Interior Design qualification (National 3-year diploma or 4-year University Degree)
5+ years’ experience (in corporate interior design and space planning)
Excellent communication and presentation skills
A high level of creativity and three-dimensional thinking
Clear understanding of construction methods
Extensive knowledge of the local supplier market and service delivery in South Africa
Excellent conceptual and practical thinking
Ability to adapt and work flexibly and collaboratively
Excellent English language skills
Software: AutoCAD, SketchUp, Enscape, Photoshop
Eligibility to work in South Africa
Advantageous
Proficient in Revit
SACAP registered
Council Submission experience
Salary is dependent on experience.
