Delos Antiques - Senior Sales Assistant/Projects and Facilities Manager - Woodstock, Cape Town
We are an upmarket luxury retail space dealing in antiques. The work environment is fast paced, fun and creative. We are looking for a Senior Sales Assistant/Projects and Facilities Manager.
This is a challenging yet rewarding position, so please do not apply if you do not enjoy a challenge, problem solving is your thing and turning coal into diamonds is not your forte. The salary is good, and will be reviewed, with the option to earn commission, once the three month trial is over.
You will need to have either a hospitality, retail or interiors background, with a keen interest in design and a strong technical know how. A sales background is a plus, but not a must, as good interpersonal skills and a friendly nature will assist in this area.
We need a self motivated, critical thinker with good interpersonal skills, excellent organizational skills and an outgoing personality
The right individual is meticulously organised, works well under pressure and is able to pivot and rearrange their day around the changes and challenges that occur daily
The right person will be between 25 and 40 years old, have excellent Excel, Outlook skills, with Shopify or similar skills beneficial.
An interest in interiors and design is a plus but not a must.
Qualifications
Excellent verbal and written communication skills - please do not apply if you are not out going and would prefer to sit at a desk all day
Excel is a must and Shopify experience is preferable but not a must
Prior sales experience preferable but not a must
Well presented and spoken - we deal with extremely upmarket international clients and the correct candidate is well versed and can hold a conversation with anyone.
The Duties
Sales:
Interaction with clients, assisting clients with purchases – good interpersonal skills needed
Creating quotes and invoices according to clients needs.
Project Manager:
Overseeing various projects throughout the shop, ordering supplies needed and liaising with contractors
Liaising with workshop staff and ordering correct supplies needed for custom orders.
Admin:
Keep both workshop and FOH connected and in communication re ongoing client orders
Ensure all ordering of electrical and building supplies.
