Master Interior Architecture - Technical Interior/Architectural Designer - Cape Town
Master Interior Architecture is looking for a Technical Architect/Technical Interior Architect to join our creative design studio. The successful candidate will be responsible for key projects, so it is vital that you are intuitive, possess strong AutoCAD/Revit technical skills, and have knowledge of building codes and regulations.
About Master Interior Architecture:
Founded in 2017 by Yaniv Chen, Master aims to create spaces of nostalgia—interiors that link the past and present. We find beauty in the imperfect. Our principle is to create interiors that are sacred, not precious. We believe chairs should be sat on, objects should be touched, and books should be paged through.
We care more about how people feel in a space than strictly about the aesthetics of the space itself. Aesthetics are important, but they matter more in relation to how they make someone feel than merely how they look.
The Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or Architecture
Minimum 3 years of experience as a Technical Architect/Interior Architect Draftsperson
Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit
Knowledge of relevant building codes and accessibility requirements.
The Role:
Collaborate with the design team, clients, consultants, contractors, fabricators, regulatory agencies, and other vendors to meet overall project objectives
Coordinate consultants’ work and drawings into the production set
Prepare and modify architectural documents, elevations, sections, details, etc.
Coordinate with the project architect and senior design professionals to develop, modify, and/or review drawings to ensure the incorporation of design intent
Ensure document standards are met and archive documents appropriately
Develop technical solutions to design problems following established standards
Participate in the construction administration process, ensuring the successful delivery of the design intent.
