Business Development Manager - Dealer Network Expansion - Cape Town
Papier is a Cape Town-based wallpaper design company renowned for its unique designer collections. Serving interior designers globally, Papier partners with a network of fabric houses around the world. We’re committed to expanding this dealer network to introduce our wallpaper collections to a wider audience of design professionals.
We’re looking for a Business Development Manager to lead the growth of Papier’s dealer network internationally. This role will be essential in identifying and onboarding new resellers, ensuring they receive comprehensive training, and managing ongoing support. Ideal candidates will have a background in sales, business development, or dealer management, ideally within the design or interiors industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Network Expansion: Identify, engage, and onboard new dealers - particularly fabric houses - to grow Papier’s presence globally.
Onboarding & Training: Ensure new resellers receive our wallpaper books and marketing materials, and conduct training sessions on Papier’s designer collections, product details, and brand philosophy.
Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with both new and existing dealers, fostering loyalty and long-term collaboration.
Market Research: Analyze market trends to identify opportunities and adapt Papier’s dealer expansion strategy accordingly.
Sales Support: Assist dealers in achieving their sales targets, equipping them to effectively represent and promote Papier’s products.
Reporting: Track progress against goals, maintaining regular reporting and updates for the management team.
Qualifications:
Experience: Proven background in business development, sales, or account management, with experience in the design, interiors, or home furnishings sector being a strong advantage.
Skills: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to build relationships and deliver engaging training.
Organizational Abilities: Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Travel: Willingness to travel as needed for dealer visits and in-person training.
Self-Motivated: Ability to work independently with a proactive, results-driven approach.
