CAD Technologist

We’re looking for a CAD Technologist who genuinely enjoys the technical side of design - someone who can take an idea and work it through until it makes sense on paper, on site and to the people building it. You’ll work closely with our designers, consultants and contractors from design development right through to the final site details.
What We’re Looking For
5+ years’ experience in an interior design, architectural or technical design environment, with contactable references.
Very comfortable in Revit and AutoCAD — these will be part of your day-to-day work.
A relevant diploma or certificate in draughting, architecture, interior design, engineering drawing or a related field.
A good understanding of how things actually go together — construction, joinery, materials, finishes and furniture detailing.
Comfortable coordinating electrical, plumbing, HVAC and other building-services information, and confident asking the right questions when things don’t line up.
Happy to get out of the office for site surveys, measurements and meetings, and to help solve the practical issues that come up on site.
A solid understanding of local building regulations, drafting standards and what it takes to get a project from concept to completion.
Organized, reliable and detail-focused, with a valid driver’s licence and a willingness to travel or put in extra time when a project really needs it.
What You’ll Be Doing
Build and manage Revit models and turn design information into clear, coordinated drawing sets.
Produce plans, reflected ceiling plans, elevations, sections, electrical layouts, furniture layouts and finishes schedules.
Work through the details with the design team — from joinery and construction details to schedules and final issue drawings.
Make sure the drawings are accurate, coordinated, practical to build and ready for site.
Work directly with consultants, engineers, contractors and suppliers — and help sort things out when information doesn’t quite match.
Visit site, take measurements, respond to technical queries and update the documentation as the project develops.
Help with presentation drawings and renderings using SketchUp, Enscape, Photoshop and AI-assisted tools when needed.
Keep drawing registers and project information tidy and up to date, while comfortably juggling more than one project and the odd tight deadline.
Big Plus Experience in hospitality, restaurants, high-end residential design,
or multi-site and rollout projects.
