Full-time Mid-Level Interior Designer
Cape Town
We’re looking for a creative, hands-on Mid-Level Interior Designer who will work across exciting projects from first concept through to site completion and hanging the last picture frame.
What We’re Looking For
5+ years’ interior design experience with contactable references.
Strong creative eye with excellent attention to detail.
Confident working independently and as part of a team.
Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
Solid understanding of construction, joinery, detailing and project delivery.
Experience with FF&E, finishes, materials and procurement.
Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Able to guide and support junior designers.
What You’ll Be Doing
Develop concepts, mood boards and client presentations.
Take projects from concept through technical development and completion.
Produce technical drawings, joinery details and design documentation.
Attend site, design and contractor meetings.
Coordinate with consultants, suppliers and external design teams.
Keep designs aligned with budgets, timelines and quality standards.
Present ideas to clients and incorporate feedback into the design.
Stay current with new materials, trends and construction methods.
Travel, work on site and occasionally work overtime/weekends when projects require it.
Your Toolkit
AutoCAD • SketchUp • Enscape or similar rendering software • PowerPoint • Excel.
Revit experience is a bonus.
Big Plus Experience in hospitality, restaurants or high-end residential design, as well as multi-site or rollout projects.
